After thrashing the Australians by his super power-hitting, Chris Gayle is confident for the World Cup T20 final which is to be played against Sri Lanka. However, he started slowly and didn't got much of the strike, but later on he played some of his favourite shots and punished the Australian bowlers by his powerful hitting.

He knew that the spinners would play an important part and thought 150-160 would be a good score to defend on this type of pitch. The partnership between Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard did a lot for the West Indies and helped them to achieve a grand total of 205 runs.

George Bailey praised the grand performance of Chris Gayle and also pointed to the good supporting innings played by Kieron Pollard, Samuels and Bravo who took the match away from the Australians.
